A level media introduction

 1) Why did you choose A Level Media Studies?

Because I enjoyed the GCSE MEDIA course so I decide to continue with A level media .

 Yes in Greenford high school .

3) If you answered yes to Q2, what grade did you achieve in GCSE Media? What coursework task did you complete? What would you say your strengths and weaknesses were in GCSE Media?
I got a grade 6 . I completed a 3 minute sci-fi video . My strengths were ideas and my weakness was filming .

4) What grade do you hope to achieve in A Level Media?
At least a B .

5) What are your current thoughts about your next steps after A Levels - university, apprenticeship, work?

I don't know .

6) What do you think the biggest MEDIA story of 2023 has been and why?
DanTDM's dog got packed off .

  1) Social learning theory has been criticised for simplifying the causes of violence in society. Do you think the media is responsible for anti-social behaviour and violence? I think the media is responsible for anti-social behaviour and violence as they have control to what is given to audiences which majorly impacts behaviours upon society . 2) How is social learning theory relevant in the digital age? Reception theory

  1) What are the preferred, negotiated and oppositional readings for the RBK 50 Cent advert? The preferred  reading is that Reebok is open to individuality  which can be displayed with 50 cent being proud of who he is hence the statement ' I am what I am ' . The negotiated reading is the readers may view the bullets as 50 having been short and surviving linking to the resilience  of the shoe similar  to his resilience . An oppisitional reading is that readers may dislike 50 cents past and music career therefore leading towards not purchasing the shoes . 2)  What are the preferred, negotiated and oppositional readings for the advert of your own choice that you analysed for last week's work?
